Week 14 Match-Up Build-Up

GAME OF THE WEEK

Perpetual Dynasty vs Tavon and Only
It all comes down to this. Three playoff spots have already been filled, and this match-up features the only two teams left with a realistic chance to get the fourth and final spot. Through the league's first three seasons, there has never been a match-up like this, featuring an all or nothing play-in game to reach the playoffs. This is essentially already a playoff game for both PD and Tavon.
Tavon has already had their best season ever, and they're trying to make it that much sweeter. They have lost two games in a row after winning 5 straight during the middle of the season. They have scored at least 120 points in 6 out of 8 games, but during their last 4 games they are averaging 114 ppg. It is a noticeable decrease from their 135 ppg during their 5 game winning streak earlier in the year. Simply put, this team is very consistent, only scoring under 120 four times this entire year. It was clear way back in August when Tavon had another fantastic draft that this team was going have their best season to date, and they have not disappointed. Heading into one of the biggest match-ups in MFFL history, Tavon is concerned about their two straight losses but their mindset is the same its been all year. They have been dedicated and dialed-in dating back to the offseason. This team will be ready for a dog fight.
PD has scored the same amount points that have been scored against them. It amounts to an even push of 132 ppg for PD and their opponents. PD's play improved half way through the season as they are averaging 147 ppg since week 6. Even with the strong statistics, PD is only one loss away from their first under .500 season in their history, and their 6 potential wins would be the same win total as one of the two teams missing out on all playoff formats. PD needed many scenarios to unfold for them to even be in this position, and they are entering this week with nothing to lose and an appreciation for the moment. The season from hell for PD still has a chance to climb out of the abyss. A win for PD would secure their 4th straight playoff appearance, a league record.
All eyes of the league will be transfixed on the 2015 playoff play-in game come Sunday. With seeding for the playoffs still in flux, the results of this game will shake up the potential playoff match-ups entering week 15. The significance and weight of this game cannot be understated. Give this match-up the respect it deserves by tuning in on Sunday. You may never see a game of this construction ever again. This one is for the history books.

Week 13 Match-Up Build-Up

GAME OF THE WEEK

Tavon and Only vs The Advantageous Morgans
Win and you’re in. The winner of this match-up secures a playoff spot for the 2015 playoffs. The Morgans got back on track in week 12 scoring 144 points. They are hoping to get hot at the right time. Their playoff hopes are still alive because of that miracle 85-68 victory over Unstopa-bo. Tavon has played well all year and is hoping to be a real contender down the stretch. This is it for both teams. Whoever loses will be in danger of missing out on the late season action. All the storylines have been discussed; it simply comes down to this. There is nothing left to say. Do not miss this game.

2. Perpetual Dynasty vs La Flama Blanca
Two teams on opposite sides of the lucky coin will try to keep their playoff hopes alive in week 13. How does LFB have 5 straight wins? They have scored over 115 just once during their winning streak, many times struggling to reach 100. Teams are averaging a disgustingly poor 78 ppg against LFB over the last month of play. LFB must be feeling invincible right about now. PD is averaging 130 ppg for the season, but teams are averaging 132 against them. Last week was the fourth time a team scored over 160 points against PD. This season has been nothing but a long, cruel, joke for PD, with LFB taking the form of PD’s exact opposite. Both teams are still alive for the playoffs. The loser will be out.

3. El Pollo Loco vs Imperium
Loco scored 171 last week against PD to stay alive for the playoffs. They have been playing well for a long stretch of time, scoring at least 120 points in all but one game since week 7. Imperium has lost 6 straight games after starting (6-0) and the injuries keep on coming. Whoever wins will stay alive for the playoffs. The loser will be out.

4. Unstopa-Bo vs The Real McCoy
McCoy clinched the first playoff spot last week. They have score at least 160 in three of four games. This team has surpassed the likes of Bo and PD as the most dominate team in the league and will likely enter the playoffs as the #1 seed. They have gotten hot at the right time while teams like Bo and others cannot stay healthy. This is the best team in this league. Period. Bo will likely be a playoff participant but there is an outside chance they miss out. They need to get healthy if they want to compete at the level they were before.

5. ShowMeYourTDs vs Whitner Wonderland

Whitner is out of the playoffs. TDs is close to being out.
