Week 2 Match-Up Build-Up

GAME OF THE WEEK

Imperium vs El Pollo Loco
A massive west divisional match-up is the main event for week two of the MFFL Season. The only two teams from the West division to escape week 1 with victories will try to take sole possession of 1st place in the division. There are very few managers who rework their lineup throughout the week, in order to put their team in the best possible position, as well as Imperium. They consistently plug lesser known commodities into their starting lineup and consume positive results. Illustrated last week by Heath Miller and Deangelo Williams, Imperium once again made dust into gold. Even with confidence in finding players other managers look over, Imeprium will not settle for weekly starting lineup battles, as they are constantly trying find players who will grab hold of a starting position and never relinquish their spot.
Loco achieved a week 1 victory for the first time in franchise history last week. They now look to acquire another piece of the fantasy puzzle that has eluded them, a lead in the West Division. Loco has never once been a top the West division at any moment in three years. They yearn for such security and power. Loco’s early season trades paid off in spades last week as two post draft acquisitions scored over 20 a piece for loco. They now hope to get better performances from players they drafted to lead this team.
Imeprium has made no secret of the fact that Loco has beaten them consistently in the MFFL. Imperium mentions this to Loco out of respect but also as a way to remind Loco how serious Imperium takes this match-up. It is rare to find an early season match-up with such intrigue and importance, but week 2’s match-up of the week promises to have a great impact on the league for the 2015 season. The winner of this match-up will be the early front runner for the west division crown. Need I say more.

2. ShowMeYourTDs vs La Flama Blanca
Yet another pivotal divisional match-up is in store for the MFFL in the #2 match-up of the week. La Flama and TDs have been battling in the East since the league's inception. La Flama once again proved doubters wrong as his young, but talented, team put on a show last week scoring the most points in the league. They do this every year folks. Unfortunately for LFB last week’s victory was not without a casualty. Dez Bryant will be sidelined for quite some time and LFB is already squarely behind the eight ball. They have to keep the ship afloat by garnering victories until Dez returns. Assuming they can do that, which they probably will, Dez’s return will be a major spark for a team likely to be in a playoff race.
TDs beat PD for the first time ever last week. It was a victory long in the making but no less satisfying. The challenge for TDs is to not let the euphoria last too long. They have to rally the troops and get ready for a tough LFB team. TDs knows how talented LFB is even without Dez. Unfortunately for TDs the Dez injury hurts the value of his starting QB Tony Romo. TDs is known for finishing strong down the stretch of seasons, if they can get some wins early, they will be a team with a lot of momentum throughout the season.

3. Unstopa-Bo vs The Real McCoy
Unstopa-Bo scored the 3rd most points in the league week 1 and lost. It is a devastating way to start the season. Their massive explosion of points on Thursday night was not even to hold off Tavon and Only. Still, they have to be feeling confident after such a strong performance in week 1. They may be without the services of T.Y. Hilton in week 2 which could lessen the fire power on display from their lineup. Unstopa-Bo needs to obtain a victory in order to keep the spirits high.
The Real McCoy have to be smiling after the players they acquired in a post draft trade led their team in points in week one. Unfortunately for McCoy, their stars acquired from the draft did the exact opposite and destroyed McCoy’s chances at a victory. No other team enters week 2 with as many possible changes to the lineup as McCoy. They may be replacing their #1 QB, #2 WR, FLEX, and Defense. McCoy understands that it is only week one, in no way are they pushing the panic button. With that said, they need to see big improvements from certain players or major changes may be in order. This match-up is huge for both managers.

4. Tavon and Only vs The Advantageous Morgans
Few managers are as confident after week one as Tavon and Only. Their massive comeback over UB was as good as it gets in fantasy. Their team looks powerful after a 142 point outburst. However, Tavon also scored over 140 in week one last season and the rest as they say is history. Their single week success means nothing unless they continue to back it up. Tavon’s message to the league after their win has not gone unnoticed and other managers around the league look to crack the shield of Tavon’s confidence.
The first manager to try and do so will be The Morgans. The Morgrans felt they needed to make a move after the draft, and after week one they felt some of their fears had been realized. They scored the fewest points and fell to bottom of the league after one week. They decided to shake things up and acquire new bodies before their match-up with the ever boastful Tavon. If they claim victory in this match-up, their major lineup shake up could look to carry them throughout the season.

5. Perpetual Dynasty vs Whitner Wonderland
This match-up would look a lot different if Leveon Bell were available for Whitner. Even without Bell this match-up looks close on paper. PD will try to get a victory after a disappointing week 1 performance. While PD may be down because of their lost, many managers around the league have not lost confidence in the team or the manager. People know the trends of the league and PD tends to get wins after slow starts. PD has 10 regular season losses after their defeat in week 1. In the 9 previous games PD played after a loss they won 8 of them. They tend to bounce back in these situations, but if they don’t, look for PD to waste no time in reworking their roster.

Whitner just needs to survive without Bell for one more week. If they beat PD it will be a huge success going (1-1) without the services of the best back in fantasy football. The rest of the roster looks strong and Whitner is hoping to take advantage of good match-ups for his starting lineup against teams like Jacksonville, Oakland, and the Giants.
