Week 5 Match-Up Build-Up

GAME OF THE WEEK

Perpetual Dynasty vs The Real McCoy
Two of the most decorated managers in The MFFL headline the week 5 match-ups. The Real McCoy bounced back last week in typical fashion. This team knows how to win following a loss. They feel like their squad is not garnering even respect league wide, even though the league pickem selections each week paint a different story. McCoy is one of the most heavily picked teams to win each week. Their starting lineup is extremely good and their bench has taken shape throughout the season. Alternating wins and losses is nothing new for McCoy, but this week presents an interesting opportunity for this franchise. They play a team with a lot of name value, but actual value has been below form. McCoy will enter week 5 confident after a win, and facing a team struggling to find their way is a welcomed sight for the League’s defending Champion.
PD lost for a consecutive time last week for only the 2nd time in their franchise’s history. PD not only lost but their lineup laid a smelly egg. Not one person in their starting lineup scored a touchdown, and on the season they have zero rushing touchdowns to their credit. That’s right, in 4 weeks PD has yet to have a starting RB score a touchdown. While other managers may look at this team with envy PD is having trouble finding confidence. They fact remains that this season has been a disaster and until their lineup starts producing PD will not be confident in any match-up. They made a big trade this week acquiring many risky players, but PD is (1-3) and they needed to make a move for their sanity.
McCoy has beaten PD more times than not and looking at the match-up on paper McCoy's players are performing much better. A (1-4) start for PD would be unfathomable, but highly possible. McCoy can set their course towards progress with a win against one the league’s perceived strongest, albeit underperforming team.  The match-up is going to be electric and very unpredictable. Do not miss it.

2. Tavon and Only vs Imperium
Two teams not afraid to voice their opinions will look for bragging rights in week 5. Tavon has been way up and way down in alternating weeks throughout the season. They have a lineup capable of great things but anticipating their talent week to week has been a difficult task. Tavon expects a lot from their roster every week and underperforming participants are quickly dismissed from their starting lineup. If this team and manager can find some balance and equilibrium then they will be a force destined for great things. Unfortunately for them, they play a team that has made teams unbalanced all season. They play Imperium, a buzzsaw personified, without the services of Ivory or Olsen.
Anyone who has tried to take Imperium down this season has been seen home with their tail between their legs,  with missed opportunities or unfortunate circumstances. Last week saw PD score zero touchdowns against Imperium. Until last week however Imperium had never scored below 120, and no one scored points last week as Imperium’s 101 points would have beaten half of the league. Trying to improve after a (4-0) start Imperium made a trade to acquire Eddie lacy on Monday. When is the last time an undefeated team traded for such a high caliber player? This team’s mojo is on a historic high. Imperium always improves with time and now the league has given them a 4 game head start. Look out.
Until star players start performing against Imperium and Imperium’s magic touch with their roster week to week slows down, it's hard to envision a team pulling away in any match-up against them. Still, this week could offer that team as Tavon is due for a bounce back performance. Who knows what's on the docket here.

3. Unstopa-Bo vs La Flama Blanca
Two teams heading in different directions are pinned for the number 3 match-up of the week. Bo has been scoring all season and now they have some wins to show for it. They won last week without the services of Brady and Gronk proving how talented they really are. Bo's new found dedication has paid off and they look like a serious contender for 2015. No one wants to play unstopa-Bo.
La Flama is trying to rebound after 3 straight losses. Their team has not been able to withstand the loss of Dez Bryant. Expectations are for LFB to turn it around and depend on young players to get better as the season gets older.

4. Advantageous Morgans vs Whiter Wonderland
Whitner has started 2015 with some poor circumstances. They scored the second most points in the league last week but lost. They predictably got into a hole to start the year without the services of Bell, but they are still very talented. They will continue to improve as Whitner always finds ways to win games in this league.
The Morgans continue to win games to start 2015. They have jumped to an early lead in the East division. Their lineup gets better almost every week as the Morgans are one of the most underrated lineup artist's in the league.

5. El Pollo Loco vs ShowMeYourTDs
Loco's injury curses and poor luck in this league are beyond ridiculous at this point. They predictably lost to McCoy last week and Loco has to feel like they are on repeat. Hopefully the potential returns of Lynch and Edelman can help them right the ship.

TD's won last week scoring 88 points. They do this all the time. Dr. Squeeze strikes again.
