1. The Perpetual Dynasty (1-1) vs The Glorious Morgans (1-1)
TPD fumbled away a victory last week. They started Daniel Jones over Cam Newton, and the results were horrifying. TPD has been known previously for making crazy moves that pay off in big ways, but this was not one of them. They should be (2-0) and had they started Newton they would have the most points in the league after two weeks. Still, they currently sit 2nd in total points and all is not lost. This team will get it together. Their mid week acquisition James Robinson played big, which means they may have solidified their #2 RB spot at least for a little while. They will have to get over the heartbreak quickly before a massive match-up against the Morgans.
The Morgans Exploded last week for a crucial early season victory. Alvin Kamara and Josh Allen led the way, but the rest of the lineup has yet to reach its full potential, averaging only 13 points per player on Sunday outside of the previously mentioned. Their RB match-ups this week look favorable, this team will live and die by their RBs.
This is a classic clash in the East division. These two teams have been fighting for the Eastern crown every year since the league's inception. Look for a super close affair. This is a huge game.
2. GrabbingThemTDs (1-1) vs Imposing Monstrosity (2-0)
TDs beasted last week to the tune of 178 points, and all of that was without Chris Godwin. Calvin Ridley has been a godsend to start the year and the rest fo the lineup is playing well. They have the most points in the league entering week 2. This is the best TDs team we have seen in a number of years. Their biggest issue is RB depth, which they have none of. A win this week over Stros may make TDs the early season top dog to start this year.
Stros has picked up right where they left off last season. They are (2-0) and many of their young draft picks are making waves. Their draft strategy was executed to perfection. They are simply operating at an extremely high level ever since last season's draft. They are the top dog right now, and TDs will be gunning for them. The target will be squarely on Stros' back this whole season, so far they have answered the bell. It's been an impressive run, with more success likely on the way.
3. The Real McCoy (1-1) vs Unstopa-Bo (1-1)
McCoy once again beat Loco last week, a team they have annually owned. Kyler Murray and Nick Chubb were the stars, but they lost a lot due to injury. Barkley and Sutton are now both out for the year. Devastating. Their already weak depth will be taxed beyond belief. The fact that their WRs have yet to play to the standards set last season is a major concern. McCoy has the 2nd fewest points scored after two weeks. They will have to manage the crap out of this team this year, but they are one of the franchise's that are capable of doing so.
UB played well again last week, but lost a close one to Stros. UB shouldn't worry though as the team continues to perform, and has depth to spare. On paper, this may be the most complete team in the league. They are set up for a great season, and a win over their divisional foe this week would cement such sentiment.
4. Baker's Chubbin' (1-1) vs El Pollo Loco (1-1)
Baker won last week, and played well, but they benefited greatly from a TPD game day managing blunder. Now they must face the next month without Christian McCaffrey. It happened again. Their 1st overall pick got injured. It is truly staggering the amount of injuries this team has had to deal with on a yearly bases. Obviously this is a completely different team without CMC on the field. They will have to keep their head above water until his return.
Loco predictably disappointed last week against McCoy. It is crazy how poor they play when they match up again them. Their RBs let them down last week, but they continue to make strong free agent pick-ups each week in search of a #2RB. This squad looks similar to other Loco teams of old, a scary high ceiling but a low floor possibility to match. Look for them to bounce back in a big way this week against an undermanned Baker squad.
5. La Flama Blanca (1-1) vs The Coop's Return (0-2)
LFB scored 87 points last week. If not for a fortunate win in week 1 they would be in dire straights. Their pricey free agent acquisitions completely busted and their starting WRs disappeared. If more injuries befall this lineup they may not survive. They may already be in desperation mode after only two weeks, as they have already dropped their starting QB and TE and are low on waiver cash. They need a major change in fortune, fast.
Coop played well last week but came up against a buzzsaw. Their weekly performance was ballooned by two explosions from Jones and Wilson. Injuries and depth concerns have hurt this team in the early going. Still, they will compete if Kittle and Thomas can get back to full health. It is an absolutely necessity for this roster. An (0-3) start would be quite a difficult hole to climb out of.
