GAME OF THE WEEK
El Pollo Loco VS La Flama Blanca
Number 4 VS number 2 claim this week's "game of the week." La Flama Blanca's single week points record went down after just one week, but that did not slow his team down. He blasted ShowMeYourTDs 138-80 (it is no wonder that match-up was ranked dead last in anticipation last week). La Flama has completely shattered any notion that he had a poor draft. His team looks like an absolute contender. El Pollo Loco silenced some doubters after crushing Weeden and Weep 143-80. His team could have been undefeated leading up this game if not for a tough week 1 match-up in which he scored 140 and still lost. His team has put up over 140 in back to back weeks. This week 3 match-up could be a preview of a future playoff clash. Get the popcorn ready for this one.
2. Perpetual Dynasty VS Tavon and Only
Divisional foes fight for conference supremacy in this week 3 match-up. Tavon has narrowly won in back to back weeks. He won by 1 point in week one, and 2 points in week two. His team has played well but some managers are wondering when his fortunes will change. PD hopes it is this week. PD completely reshaped his team after his week 2 defeat at the hands of McCoy. His starting lineup will feature at least 3 new members to his franchise. He hopes the moves will make a more balanced team not so dependent on a few star players. The betting line for this match-up is razor close, so pick your winner with care.
3. ShowMeYourTDs VS The Reckoning
Strong managerial personalities catapult this match-up to number 3 for this week. Tds has started (0-2) while averaging a disgusting 92.5 points per game. On paper his team is better than his record, but you are only as good as your record. He hopes to take advantage of a wounded Reckoning team this week. Reckoning has been scrambling to find replacement RBs after Rice and Jackson both went down in week 2. He is also starting a new QB this week since Andrew Luck is on the road against San Fran. If Reckoning wins it will be one of the most memorable victories of his career considering the circumstances. TDs needs a win just to keep his team afloat. Style points do not matter here, both managers will take a victory any way they can.
4. Beau-dacious Babes VS Advantageous Morgan's
Babes VS Morgan's...this match-up screams excitement! Not really. Babes has been a one man wrecking machine starting (2-0) while averaging and amazing 163.5 points per game. His dominant start to the season gives managers little hope to expect a Morgans upset. However, Babe's hot start is doomed to slow down. The Morgan's better hope so or they will be (0-3).
5. Weeden and Weep VS The Real McCoy
Managers struggling to find an identity claim the least anticipated match-up of week 3. The combination of inconsistent performances, lack of smack talk, and overall uncertainty, are the causes for their low ranking. McCoy bounced back in week 2 with a victory over PD, but his team was led by a few star performances, and it is still unknown has his team will perform week to week (not unlike last season). Weeden played well in week 1 but got his shit rocked in week 2. Weeden will have to win here to give any managers a reason not to think he will finish in the bottom 2 for a second straight season. McCoy needs to prove he can maintain a championship level of consistency so other managers develop a sense of fear and respect pertaining to his franchise.
