Week 9 Match-Up Build-Up

GAME OF THE WEEK

Perpetual Dynasty vs La Flama Blanca
The season hangs in the balance for both teams of week 9’s best match-up of the week. Many managers look at these teams and are flabbergasted to see so little W’s in the win column. La Flama has struggled all season long but gained some confidence after a big win against TDs in week 8. The victory was their first since week 1. Their roster has taken huge strides over the last two weeks, and they look like a team ready to explode. They are finally getting production out of guys like Dez, Cooks, and Gurley. They shocked the fantasy world this week when they laid down $100 for the services of DeAngelo Williams. This team is still fighting as they are not mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. They are going to win games down the stretch.
Perpetual Dynasty is averaging 164 PPG over the last 3 weeks but they are still struggling to win games. They scored almost 140 last week with only two players scoring a touchdown. It’s been the season from hell for one of the league’s most respected managers. If they are to turn their fortunes around they need to win this week and many more weeks upcoming. A massive “gulp” would take place around the league if PD’s fortunes suddenly turned for the better. PD has a ridiculous record of (16-2) in games week 9- week 14. No body wants to see PD in a potential playoff game. Unfortunately for PD, they are not in control of their own destiny, they need some good luck and losses by teams above him to have a shot at a 4th straight playoff appearance.
This game on paper is the best of the week, even if the records say otherwise. A win for LFB keeps their playoff hopes alive, while a win for PD puts them in position to make a move in the standings down the stretch. The eyes of the league will be transfixed on one of the most polarizing match-ups of the season, when PD and LFB put their lives on the line. Expect fireworks.

2. ShowMeYourTDs vs The Advantageous Morgans
The Morgans will try to recover after a blow out loss in week 8. Perhaps playing an east division opponent will cure what ails them as they have gone undefeated in east divisional play this season. They have been the top dog in the east all season long. This is a huge game for the Morgans as their schedule down the stretch is unkind, facing teams like PD, Bo, Imperium, LFB, and Tavon. Getting back to the playoffs is all The Morgans care about. A sweep of TD's in week 9 would go a long way towards securing that.
TD's have scored over 120 points only twice this year but they find themselves right in the thick of the playoff hunt. They have to start scoring points to have any shot down the stretch. Their lineup is very strong and a few good bounces here and there could lead to some wins. Do not forget that TD's is one of the best at winning games down the stretch. Over the last two season they have a (9-3) record in games played week 9- week 14. This is the time TD's starts crushing it.

3. El Pollo Loco vs Tavon and Only
Tavon beat PD last week in a massive east division game. They seem to be getting hot at the right time and Tavon has a legitimate shot at a playoff birth for the first time ever. With so much on the line expect nothing less than Tavon’s best managing the rest of the way. Loco is just trying to survive as they enter week 9 with the fewest points in the league. A win here would be a massive step in gaining ground on the teams above them.

4. The Real McCoy vs Whitner Wonderland
McCoy is sizzling after winning their 5th game in a row. This team has somehow improved after the loss of Jamaal Charles. What McCoy has done in this league over its first 4 years is truly dominant. One of the best managers in the league enters week 9 in 1st place, ready to make another playoff appearance. A loss to Whitner would be truly devastating to McCoy's pride based on Whitner’s circumstances. Whitner will be without Leveon Bell, Keenan Allen, Justin Forsett, and Seattle D for this game. There is not much more to say.

5. Unstopa-Bo vs Imperium

Just look at Imperium’s bye weeks, its gonna be tough. Regardless of outcome both managers have a strong case for the playoffs, making this game not one of the most anticipated. Mangers will watch this game for the hope of seeing something special. Crazy things happen when Imperium has nothing to lose.
