Match-Up Build-Up Week 5

1. The Real McCoy @ La Flama Blanca

A sizable interleague game sets the table for a big week of MFFL action. McCoy was impressive for a 2nd consecutive week obtaining a key victory over TPD. The addition of L. Bell to their starting lineup went exactly as planned and they seem to have moved way past their early season scoring troubles. They are very balanced top to bottom like many McCoy teams of the past, and not unlike their past teams it is typically all or nothing week to week. They can have huge performances all across the board but they are also prone to down weeks from key contributors. This team looks poised to compete yet again as they attempt to add 2016 success to a list already full of MFFL achievements.

LFB has to be happy with how this season has started. They went after many of the same players that hurt them a year ago and it is paying off. They escaped with a win last week after only scoring 111 points, but they were without 3 starters due to bye weeks. Consistently the winner of Yahoo's worst draft award, LFB is proving doubters wrong yet again. They have been propelled this season by a full team effort seemingly every week. RB remains a concern for this squad, and their WRs lack star name value, but LFB does not care. They put faith in guys when no one else does and success has typically followed.

Whoever wins this match-up might be surprised to see their record stand at (4-1), but there is no doubt both teams will take it. These teams know how to win games in this league and do not miss this mega match-up come Sunday.

2. Pryor to the Snap @ ShowMeYourTDs

The two unluckiest managers from a week ago will try to turn the tables in a big week 5 game. Pryor had a historical performance from J. Jones in week 4 but it was not enough to combat the massive performance from Tavon. Pryor has played well all season and last week was no different. A minor concern may be the health of Cam Newton but Pryor will compete regardless. Budding young stars M. Jones and T. Pryor will look to continue their success for Pryor as they try to get back on track after an unfortunate week 4.

The start to the season for TDs is unbelievable. They are scoring points at will and cannot win a single game. Every team has come to play against them and TDs is left with nothing to do but hope for better fortune. Their squad is one of the best in the league but it is going to be hard coming back from 3 divisional losses to start the year. They need to go on a huge winning streak but that might be possible considering their roster. Look for TDs to get wins moving forward as they have nothing to lose and a team ready to strike. Teams around the league feel bad for this team, but not enough to stop beating them if they can.

TDs needs this win. Will Pryor be the 5th straight team to break TDs heart? Don't miss this one.

3. The Perpetual Dynasty @ The North Remembers

All eyes of the MFFL tune in for this match-up every year, but both teams are struggling to start 2016. TPD has not been able to score since week 1 and the league is not cutting them any slack averaging 143 ppg against them. Last week TPD knew they were in for a tough game as their roster had arguably the worst match-ups one could fathom. Their start to the season is unacceptable and they have made moves once again to try and shake things up. We expect TPD to start scoring more points but it won't matter if the league continues beat them to a pulp every week.

TNR won a huge game last week but they are also struggling to score points this year. TNR has to be feeling good however, considering that after the draft a (2-2) record entering week 5 was somewhat of a goal for this team and they have obtained it. They now welcome back T. Brady, R. Gronk, and J. Charles to their starting lineup. It is an unbelievable star power addition and it comes at the most opportune time. TNR could send a message to the entire league with an impressive win on Sunday.

Both teams will look different in week 5 with new players entering their starting lineups. A loss for TPD would make them an unfathomable (1-4) for the 2nd consecutive year. That hurts. A loss for TNR would put a damper on the welcoming home of some star players. Both teams need a win in what is always a must see MFFL match-up. This will be a war.

4. El Pollo Loco @ Tavon and Only

Loco is devastated after suffering their 3rd divisional loss this season. It puts them in hole that will be tough to climb out of. They are desperate for a win and hope Tavon will suffer a down week after going bonkers in week 4. Week 5 is a must win for Loco even though it is not a divisional game. This franchise typically wins games late in the season after slow starts and Loco will hope to do that once again in 2016.

Tavon broke out last week in a big way. It was a welcomed sight from a team needing to get good vibes from their roster. They have flexibility with their lineup week to week and are never afraid to start lesser known commodities over more well known names. They will hope for another strong performance in week 5.

5. Unstopa-Bo @ Advantageous Morgans

The Morgans have scored under 100 points in three of four games this year. Unstopa-bo has yet to score under 120. The tides will have to turn in this one to give a result other than whats expected.
