Match-Up Build-Up Week 13

1. The Coop's Return (6-6) vs The Glorious Morgans (7-5)
Coop's difficult late season schedule is getting the best of them. They have lost three straight games and have fallen to third in the East division standings. However, their path to the playoffs is clear. Win the next two games and they are in. They have the best eastern division record which gives them an advantage. The lineup just simply isn't getting it done, and Russell Wilson's early season MVP form looks to be faded as the Seahawks incorporate a run heavy approach. Icing on the cake is losing Fuller due to PED suspension. This team has everything right in front of them, but they need to change their fortune quickly.

The Morgan's enter week 13 with the best record in the East. They are in poll position to get to the playoffs. They have been unpredictable as of late but largely continue to play well. The loss of Brees has torpedoed Kamara's potential, which is a major concern down the stretch. A win this week doesn't guarantee them a playoff spot, but it would make it that much more obtainable.

This game is massive. The playoff race is the closest it has ever been, with 7 teams in play to make the playoffs entering week 13, and this game is the biggest of them all. Do not miss a single second of it.

2. Unstopa-Bo (8-4) vs Baker's Chubbin (7-5)
UB won last week but continue to benefit from an easy schedule. They have won 5 out of 7, but are only averaging 108 ppg during that stretch. It is a good team but one that lacks true firepower. Their record makes them a favorite to make the playoffs, but it is impossible to tell what they will do if they get there. This game is a must win for them.

Baker is having their best season in years, and they continue to stack wins. They have three straight wins and have scored over 140 in back to back games. Once again, the source of this team's success was the trading away of McCaffrey. We'll see how long they can keep this up, the squad leaves much to be desired if Lockett and Boyd continue to fall off the pace they set earlier this year.

This, like the other match-up discussed, is a pseudo playoff eliminator. Especially here because neither of these teams are likely to win the West, though still technically possible. Huge week of football.

TPD is now the league's top point scorer, though they only reside in 6th place. They are averaging an absurd 153 ppg over their last four and have proven to be the best team in the league currently. Still, their playoff hopes are behind the eight ball. They have to win out and hope the Morgan's lose a game. What a shame. They have the 2nd hardest schedule in the league, and teams are averaging 144 ppg against them in their last three. Crazy bad luck for this dominant titan. As stated previously, the entire rest of the playoff contenders are making ritualistic animal sacrifices in order to prevent TPD from making the playoffs.

Stros and McCoy are tied for the best record in the league. Both have picked up their play as of late, and both are expected to make the playoffs. Crazy enough, neither has secured a spot, which has to be a troubling thought if their good fortune is to change. Teams are nipping at their heals and nothing is assured in 2020.

Week 12 Match-Up Build-Up

1. The Coop's Return (6-5) vs The Real McCoy (7-3-1)

Coop is taking on water. They've lost two straight and are averaging 95 ppg over their last three contests. Making matters worse is their remaining schedule. They close out with McCoy, Morgans, TPD. They are still a good team, but lack fire power at the RB position, with Jones not living up to early season production. This has honestly been a problem for a while, they sit 8th in total points scored, even though they are ranked 1st in the East division. They have a chance to prove themselves over the last three weeks, but if trends continue it looks to be a difficult road.

McCoy tied last week but is still in a prime position to make the playoffs. Their RBs are getting healthy and as a team they have been playing as well as anyone lately. Murray is banged up, which could be a problem, and their WRs continue to produce at WR2 level production. But this team is deep and ready for a playoff run. They are one of the front runners to win it all this season. This is a bigger game for Coop, but McCoy would like to make things easy on themselves and secure a playoff spot sooner rather than later.

2. The Perpetual Dynasty (5-6) vs Imposing Monstrosity (8-2-1)

TPD won last week, scoring the most points in the league. They are averaging 145 ppg over their last five games, best int he league. Yet with all that said, they are only (5-6). Their playoff hopes are still alive, but they must keep winning. They have no room for error. Not having McCaffrey has hurt them for much of this season. This is the best team in the league right now, and has been for some time. No one wants to see them pull off a miracle and make the playoffs. Not having Herbert, Adams, Hill, McCaffrey, and Jacobs in the playoffs would be a real shame from an excitement and deserving stand point.

Stros bounced back last week but still only secured a tie. Not that it matters much, one more win and they officially seal a playoff spot, due to how the schedule shakes out for other teams. Their RBs really came to play last week, a welcomed and needed sight if their lofty hopes are to be achieved. They are hoping to catch TPD this week, considering TPD has difficult match-ups and still no CMC. Stros wants this win badly. Their worst fear is seeing TPD in a 1v4 playoff match-up. This game will be a blood bath come Sunday.

UB and The Morgans continue to be up and down. They are both favorites in must win rivalry games this week. Consistency will have to be found by each of them.
Baker is still in the playoff race, having won two straight. A win against LFB is an absolute necessity this week.

Match-Up Build-Up Week 11

1. Imposing Monstrosity (8-2) vs The Real McCoy (7-3)

These are the top two teams in the league by record. As was the case when these two met earlier in the year, both are benefiting from easy schedules. Stros’ charmed season continued last week, as they won while only scoring 107 points. They have now been held under 110 points for three straight weeks, but hold the league’s best record. This team is cruising towards the playoffs, but they know they have to play better if they have any chance of winning once they get there. They may end up setting the league’s all time easiest record for a single season.

McCoy is also benefiting from easy opponents, but they have been scoring more points as of late. They have scored over 124 points in three straight games. Still, only three teams all season have scored more than 120 points against them all season, and one of those was a 122 point effort. Getting Chubb back was a big boost for this team. Of the top teams in the West division, they are currently performing at the highest level. They have maneuvered injuries well this season and continue to make sound pick-ups on free agency.

2. The Glorious Morgans (6-4) vs Baker’s Chubbin’ (5-5)

Morgans blew up again last week, and they needed it as TPD came to play against them. As has been the case all season, this team goes as Josh Allen goes, and he was great last week. This team could also be getting Ekeler back at some point which would be scary. They have the most points in the league, but it is safe to wonder if they are using up big point weeks before a late season push. Much of their production has come from touchdowns, the style of their lead performers Alvin Kamara and Allen. The Morgans have had a bounce back season after a disappointing one a year ago.

Baker is quietly (5-5). It has been their best season in some time in the MFFL, and their success can be traced back to one decision, trading away McCaffrey. Robinson, Boyd, and JuJu have been consistent performers for them, and without the added quality they would have fallen flat waiting for McCaffrey to return. It was a debated decision when they did it, but none can now question it. Unfortunately for them, their team isn’t scoring points as of late, being under 112 for three straight weeks. They, like Stros, have to find a way to produce more if they are to make a run at the playoffs.

3. Unstopa-Bo (6-4) vs The Coop’s Return (6-4)

Both teams are coming off hugely disappointing games a week ago. UB lived up to their unpredictable nature, scoring only 66 points. They are (6-4) but sit 7th in points scored. Like the others in the West division, their overall record is a mirage. They need to win this week to keep their playoff hopes fully alive.

Coop had another down week, scoring below 100 points for the 2nd straight week. Wilson has slowed, and Michael Thomas continues to produce a disastrous season. Losing Kittle a few weeks ago was also a catalyst for their recent struggles. They need to plug up the holes in the boat and prepare for a huge week 11 game. Wilson plays on Thursday, and Coop needs him to get back to the MVP level production. Like Bo, they are (6-4) but only sit 6th in total points. It’s been that type of season in the MFFL. Nothing can dampen the success they have had in their first MFFL season however, what a season it’s been. They have put the league on notice.

4. TPD is fighting for their playoff lives. They are 2nd in total points, averaging 143 ppg in their last four games, but only have a (2-2) record during that span. Considering the struggles of many teams ahead of them in the standings, this season has been tortuous for them. They have the league’s 3rd hardest schedule and bad circumstantial luck. An example being that only two players have rushed for 90+ yard touchdowns this season, both running backs did it while playing against TPD. This team deserves better, but this just doesn’t seem to be their year. A giant sigh of relief will be heard from all other playoff fighters if TPD were to lose this week.

Match-Up Build-Up Week 10

1. The Perpetual Dynasty (4-5) vs The Glorious Morgans (5-4)

TPD's insertion of McCaffrey into his starting lineup was just as explosive as others predicted. They scored 180 points and sent a shot across the bow of every other team. TPD is 2nd in points on the season but only sit 6th in the standings. They've only scored below 120 points twice all season, but it hasn't helped them secure wins consistently, as they have been missing out on the good fortune others have been benefiting from. The talent is real, but the clock is ticking. They have to keep winning in order to make the playoffs. The fact that four teams sit with records of (6-3) or better is hurting their efforts. Every other playoff combatant is praying that this team does not make the playoffs.

After three straight weeks of scoring below 120 points, The Morgans blew up last week securing a huge victory over Stros. This team seems to go as Josh Allen goes. They still lead the league in points scored, but much of that production came early in the season. The jury is still out on them, but a win this week against TPD would be huge for their playoff hopes. They are running low on waiver cash, which may hurt them down the stretch.

This game has massive playoff implications, with the loser perhaps being on the negative side of chances. The top two point scoring teams in the league will put on a show come Sunday. This is a blue blood match-up you never want to miss.

2. Unstopa-Bo (6-3) vs Imposing Monstrosity (7-2)

UB has won 5 out of 6 games. They are averaging a respectable 125 ppg during that stretch but have slowed a bit, only averaging 113 ppg in their last four contests. Their best player this year is on bye this week, Kelce, and without Jackson being superman it is pretty remarkable they sit 2nd in the overall standings. If they can maneuver the byes this week they have a solid chance at victory, but no team has been as hit or miss as this one all season. Stay tuned.

Stros' fortunate wins during the first half of the season are paying off, as the team is struggling mightily currently. They have scored over 122 points just once in their last six games, and over the last two weeks they have produced 94 and 104 point totals. They're 6th in total points scored but 1st overall standings. Holding them back has been the below average play of Taylor, a player they were hoping would ascend to top 5 RB heights. D.J. Moore has been a disappointment as well. It is hard to tell which direction they will turn, but they are still in a great spot considering their overall record. This is a huge game for them.

3. Coop and McCoy are heavy favorites in their match-ups. A loss for either one of them would be disappointing, considering how tight the playoff race is.

Match-Up Build-Up Week 9

1. The Glorious Morgans (4-4) vs Imposing Monstrosity (7-1)

The Morgans have lost three out of four and are struggling to score points after a hot start. Injuries to their RBs have taken a toll, and as Josh Allen slowed down so did the team as a whole. They need to get healthy and try to build momentum. They are still a front runner to compete in the East division, but it's hard to tell which team will show up, because their beginning success has faded so significantly. Was it a mirage or will they start playing better? We'll find out this week.

Stros has been pulling a McCoy all season. They cannot be touched. They won last week scoring 94 points. Teams are averaging 110 ppg against them, with the highest score against them this year being 128. The recent downturn in play by their RBs is some what troubling, as their WRs have struggled to put up big point totals all year. None of that may matter though. They have time to fix any holes in the roster. They may be one win away from realistically securing a playoff spot. Considering the talent of the franchise's manager, the team is likely to improve.

2. 3. 4. 5.

The rest of the match-ups are super close. Bullet points:

-Coop escaped with a win over TPD last week. They played well and have now won five of six games. They are the current front runner in the east division. What a special first season so far.

-TPD may get McCaffrey back this week. That is huge. They lost last week, but continue to be contenders considering the talent on the roster. They just can't catch a break this year.

-McCoy has lost two straight but continues to perform well. Getting Chubb and Carson back soon will be a big boost.

-TDs hot start in terms of scoring points has not continued. Injuries have sapped this team of their potential. Add the fact they have had horrible luck and a difficult schedule, they are now likely just trying to play spoiler.

-Loco won last week but only scored 106 points. They have scored under 120 in 6 of their 8 games this year. Even with the win, they are likely not feeling confident moving forward.

-Baker's bye weeks got the best of them last week. They are still competing though sitting at (4-4).

-LFB exploded last week but it may be too little too late.

-UB has quietly won four of five. They continue to be feast or famine.

Match-Up Build-Up Week 8

1. Baker's Chubbin' (4-3) vs Imposing Monstrosity (6-1)

Baker has won 3 straight games since trading away Christian McCaffrey. Last week was a critical win, and one that likely wouldn't have happened if not for their acquisitions of Robinson and Boyd. The big problem for them this week will be bye weeks. They are missing crucial players across the board. Still, their turn around after a slow start has been impressive, and they deserve recognition. The odds are stacked against them, but they have fought through the fire once again after suffering a major injury to their first round selection.

Stros exploded last week. It was a well needed prove it performance after sitting in the bottom four of points scored. Their place a-top the current MFFL standings is now unquestioned. This team is ready for the long haul. The starting lineup is improving, in particular at WR, and the bench has come together rather nicely. This is the current front runner in the MFFL, and a playoff spot could be sealed with only a few more victories, depending on how everything shakes out. They will be heavy favorites this week considering the bye weeks Baker is dealing with. Things have been lining up for this franchise all season.

2. The Perpetual Dynasty (3-4) vs The Coop's Return (4-3)

TPD finally got a decent performance out of their lineup last week. Adams led the way, and outside of a terrible performance from their QB, the rest of the lineup performed well. This may be the week they have been waiting for, the week CMC returns from injury. If so, it would be a huge boost to this lineup, obviously. If they can find any form of production out of a QB this year, this team will be hard to beat down the stretch. Their gameday managing is improving after making atypical mistakes earlier in the season. They are only one game out of first place in the East division, but they have to start playing with more consistency and score more points.

Coop continues to impress. They won again last week, making it four out of their last five. They were hoping to have Thomas back by now, but that remains to be seen early in this week. Not having Jones and Thomas would potentially be a big loss, but they won last week under the same circumstances. Perhaps most impressive this year has been their gameday managing. They have been making decisions like a savvy veteran. They are a rising star in this league, and could put the whole league on notice Sunday if they beat the league's most historically dominant franchise.

3. The Real McCoy (5-2) vs Unstopa-Bo (4-3)

Eventually McCoy's fortune had to slow down at some point, and last week it happened. Outside of a blow up performance from their star Murray, the rest of the lineup struggled to score over 10 respectively. The RB injuries are adding up, and this week they will be without Murray. Their free agent moves continue to be on point, which has helped keep their season as strong as it has been, but this week looks like a challenge. They need to start getting more production out of their WRs, but McCoy seems to always find creative ways to win, when the odds seem stacked against them. Don't ever count them out.

UB fell hard last week, and need a quick turn around against a classic divisional foe. A bounce back performance is expected, though they do have some difficult match-ups this week. The variance in performance week to week has been mentioned, and that was on display a week ago. They have three games this year under 112, but three others over 145. Which team shows up Sunday is anyone's guess.

4/5

TDs and Loco both need a win this week. It is dire for both of them. A (2-6) record for either of them would likely mean they have to go unbeaten the rest of the season to have a chance at the playoffs. Though (7-7) in the East might be good enough this year. After multiple injuries to their starting lineup, TDs proved last week they can find replacements on waivers. Their lineup decisions last week were on point. Loco is barely holding on. They have scored under 120 points in 5 of their last 6 games. The Morgans are big favorites over LFB this week. Anyone playing LFB is hoping they don't catch them on an inevitable big week. LFB is likely to start playing better at some point. Their biggest goal now is to spoiler.

Match-Up Build-Up Week 7

1. Imposing Monstrosity (5-1) vs The Real McCoy (5-1)

Stros won last week with an explosion out of Henry and a poor performance from their opponent TPD. They received 0 points from their TE and 1 point for Rodgers, but it did not matter. They are now pretty much tied with McCoy for easiest schedule in the league, as teams are only averaging 113 points a game against each of them. McCoy once again had an opponent fail to score 120 against them, which has happened 5 out 6 games this year. The highest point total against them is 122. They won last week by a single point (120-119), but have shown signs of life, scoring more points over the last few weeks. McCoy is now 5th in points scored while Stros is only 7th. The lineups are solid, though there is room to improve considering each team is in the bottom half of the league in ppg for the season. It has been a blessed year for both of them, but something has to give in this match-up.

2. The Perpetual Dynasty (2-4) vs Unstopa-Bo (4-2)

TPD is having their worst year of fantasy football ever. Currently sitting with the 2nd fewest points in the league, times are dire. The team is simply not getting it done, and many of their high profile trades have not worked out in their favor. Last week was a new low, scoring 73 points. These types of things were thought to not be possible for this franchise, but here we are. The lineup remains strong. If guys start playing to their potential, and McCaffrey gets healthy, this team will go on a run. But that is looking less likely with each passing week. This may be the best (2-4) team on paper ever, but that amounts to nothing.

UB is now 2nd in points scored and has won 3 in a row. Last week they won with only 112 points, but they had been putting up big numbers before that. Injuries, suspensions, and bye weeks may hurt them this week though. They are quietly right in the thick of things for the playoffs. Their bold draft selections may pay off after all.

3. Baker's Chubbin (3-3) vs El Pollo Loco (2-4)

Chubbin is some how (3-3). They won back to back games since trading away McCaffrey and last week was their best week of the season. They are competing for a playoff spot even if they lack star power. It is a bit of a mirage however, they are 3rd to last in points scored. It has been that type of year in the MFFL.

Loco did not get their classic rebound blow up last week. They have now scored under 120 in four out of their last five games. They are getting healthy however, and L. Bell could be a huge factor down the stretch. Don't sleep on this team. They, like TPD, have the ability to go on a huge run.

4. and 5.

Coop and The Morgans are big favorites in their respective match-ups. TDs is 3rd in ppg, but is (1-5). Unbelievable. They now have yet another injury to deal with in their starting lineup. LFB has lost 5 in a row.

Match-Up Build-Up Week 6

1. The Real McCoy (4-1) vs The Coop's Return (3-2)

McCoy is on the heels of their best week of the season and now sit a top the MFFL standings. The stars of the team continue to be Murray and Carson, though last week saw other guys step up as well. They are already up to 15 moves on the year, which is crazy for this franchise. Last year they had 25 moves for the entire season. When they have a team with a chance to be good, they go all in, and this looks like an all in year for them. In a year in which points are being scored at an all time high, McCoy is somehow traversing an all time easy schedule. Teams are averaging 112 ppg against them. The league average for scoring this year is 130 ppg. Staggering.

Coop has won 3 straight games and has already proven their worth and potential. They have done all of this without the services of Michael Thomas. Last week was fluky, they won scoring 108, but overall their week to week point totals have been good. Russell Wilson continues to go off and the bench has taken shape after being a weak point early in the year. A playoff appearance in their first year of MFFL ball was not expected, but this team is on that path. They have firepower at every major position. It is truly a remarkable start to their MFFL career. Impressive.

2. The Perpetual Dynasty (2-3) vs Imposing Monstrosity (4-1)

TPD got back to their winning ways last week after three straight losses. The splash play for this franchise was trading for McCaffrey mid week. CMC may still be out another week or two, but it becomes less of a concern if Mike Davis continues to beast. The rest of the lineup finally played up to their potential last week, a theme they hope continues moving forward. Eventually this lineup will reach its full potential with Cam, Adams, and CMC all getting healthy. Oh boy when that happens.

Stros lost their first game of the season last week. They continue to struggle scoring points, currently sitting 9th in points scored. They were fortunate to get off to a (4-1) start, but now is the time to start seeing improvement. Rodgers is back this week after a bye, which will help, but they need to start getting more production out of their top WRs and their RBs, outside of Henry. They have depth to spare, but they need more blow up performances. Match-ups this week against the Jets, Giants, Bengals, and Texans should be just what the doctor ordered for this lineup.

3. El Pollo Loco vs (2-3) vs The Glorious Morgans (3-2)

Loco had a rough week. They scored under 120 for the third time in four weeks, lost Amari's star QB, suffered and injury to Allen, and Bell was cut. Mahomes and Hopkins have been great, but there are more question marks across the lineup now than compared to even a few weeks ago. RB continues to be a difficult position to predict for them, having RBs on the bench play better than the starters almost every week. Loco is hoping for a feast week, akin to their feast or famine ways.

The Morgans predictably cooled last week in a match-up against McCoy, though they still acquitted themselves well. Not having Kamara this week due to bye is a major loss, but this is one of the deepest teams in the league and they can perhaps survive without him. Not much has changed in their long term outlook. They are a major contender.

4. GrabbingThemTDs (1-4) vs Unstopa-Bo (3-2)

TDs slow start hurts even worse now that Dak is out for the year. It is a major blow, but luckily there are multiple replacement options at QB on free agency, though they won't be Dak. Ertz has been a disaster this year, and they are still waiting on Godwin to get fully healthy. It may be too little too late, but all is not lost. TDs remains one of the least active managers on free agency, a theme that has hurt them for years, but this week they bought big on Claypool, hoping last week's explosion wasn't a mirage.

UB is quietly (3-2). They have scored over 145 in back to back weeks. Gordon's DUI will hurt them eventually, and Gurley looks unlikely to keep up his early season success, but this team is deep with talent. It may not matter if Lamar doesn't start playing up to his potential though. This team is a competitor, but much about the lineup seems fragile outside of Metcalf and Kelce.

5. Both Chubbin and LFB are hanging on for dear life, but crazy reversals in fortune have happened in the MFFL around this point in the year.

Tuesday, October 6, 2020

Match-Up Build-Up Week 5

1. The Glorious Morgans (3-1) vs The Real McCoy (3-1)

The Morgans are feasting on people. They are shredding through the league like it were tissue paper. Alvin Kamara is the catalyst, but last week two under-performers stepped up in a big way in OBJ and Mixon. The question is how long they can keep this up. A worry point being that they are getting their big weeks out of the way early. They lost Ekeler for multiple weeks due to injury which is a big loss. This lineup is currently flexing, but they seem to have large variance, and potential for a major slow down. Only time will tell. Josh Allen has to maintain this pace, and so far there are no signs of him slowing.

We shouldn't be shocked at this point by the way McCoy has won games consistently throughout their career. The league's career easiest schedule holder is at it again. TPD was the fourth straight team to underperform against them this season and not reach 120. It took a stud QB getting Covid, and a shocking inactive from Adams, to seal the victory for McCoy. They are now 8th in points scored, and have the league's easiest schedule by a whopping nearly 50 points compared to the team with the 2nd easiest schedule. They have won both games this year in which Barkley and Chubb went down respectively. A positive for this team has been their free agent pickups so far this season, they are making the right moves. They are hanging on by a thread, but long have the fantasy Gods smiled upon them.

The Morgans are the favorite here, but if trends hold, the Morgans are about to have their worst game of the season. This is a classic match-up between two blood blue programs.

2. Imposing Monstrosity (4-0) vs The Coop's Return (2-2)

Stros once again secured a Monday night victory in week 4. They have been untouchable in Monday Night scenarios this season. The fantasy Gods have been smiling on them as well, as they are 6th in total points but are currently unbeaten. Aaron Rodgers has been a godsend, while the rest of the lineup has been very good, though lacking greatest. They need to start getting more out of their stud RB group, but getting Henry back this week is a huge boost. This team has talent, room to grow, and now time. Every year the Gods pick a team to have a special season. Stros could be that team this year.

Coop stormed back from a huge deficit in week 4, securing their 2nd consecutive victory. George Kittle exploded and the rest of the lineup did what they had to do. Insert Michael Thomas into this equation and Coop is suddenly a contender after an (0-2) start. Bye weeks will hurt them, but this team has stars. This is a much closer game on paper than the experts think. Coop has been nothing short of spectacular in all facets to begin their MFFL career.

3. The Perpetual Dynasty (1-3) vs El Pollo Loco (2-2)

TPD is in a position the league has rarely seen. They have lost three straight games, and the lineup continues to underperform. They were dealt serious blows last week with Cam getting Covid and Adams being inactive, and their losses have been all too close to victories to stomach so far this season. It is now or never for this team. The talent remains, but they are running out of time. They simply aren't getting the blow up performances like the rest of the league in 2020. All is not lost however. TPD is best when backed into a corner.

Loco lost a heartbreaker last week, after having the victory almost assured entering Monday Night, but it did not hold. The problem this season has been at RB. While they've had good performances from varying guys week to week, too often they have been on the bench. Even more disappointing for Loco is the fact that they have the league's 2nd easiest schedule and have so far not been able to take advantage. Same old story for Loco, they get points when they don't need them, and they struggle finding points when most desperate.

4. LFB has the fewest points scored and the toughest schedule. You do the math. UB is quietly a big contender. This is a huge game for both teams.

5. TDs has scored the 2nd most points but are (1-3). Absolutely brutal. Don't t count this team out. Based on what they have done to start this year, their time will come. Another year, another sad story for Baker. Injuries have hurt them, but this team will compete once McCaffrey is healthy. Teams may not want to face them down the stretch.

Match-Up Build-Up Week 4

1. El Pollo Loco (2-1) vs Imposing Monstrosity (3-0)

Loco predictably responded well last week after a dud performance the week before. They scored 168 points and now turn their attention to the team that beat them in the championship last season. The strength of the team this year is their WRs. Nuk, Cooper, and Allen are all playing at a high level. Those three combined for an absurd 43 targets last week. If that continues there will be no stopping them. Mahomes is great as well, though Loco is still trying to figure out long term solutions at RB and TE. Andrews has to start performing better, though he probably will. The hot and cold Loco hopes to stay hot in the biggest match-up of the season so far.

Stros is the only unbeaten team left and once again performed well last week. They have been beating teams with unparalleled consistency. The RBs are elite and Rodgers has been vintage Rodgers so far this season after a down 2019. They will be hoping for more explosion out of a WR group that has performed average across the board so far. If the WRs take a jump, this team will cruise to the playoffs.

Two opposing styles are match-up for this mega showdown. Loco's all or nothing high ceiling low floor vs Stros' death by consistency and attrition. What a Western division clash indeed. Both teams are attempting to plant their flag and stake their territory.

2. The Perpetual Dynasty (1-2) vs The Real McCoy (2-1)

TPD has not start this slow since the 2016 season in which they started (1-3). The good news is they went on to win the championship that year. It is way too early to push the panic button on this franchise, as they are still top 5 in points scored, and currently hold the league's most difficult schedule. Last week they ran into a buzzsaw, but they also have to get healthy. Engram has been a major disappointment at TE, but if any team can improve it is this one. With a good QB, Elite WRs, and good RBs already at their disposal, this team doesn't have to get that much better they become a major player in 2020, as they have always been.

McCoy has won back to back games, even with the injury to Barkley. It's been smoke and mirrors though as they have the league's easiest schedule by a wide margin and sit 8th in total points scored. No opponent this year has even scored 120 points against them. McCoy has a way of doing that to opponents every season seemingly. Kyler Murray is a star, but the rest of the lineup has room to improve. A win this week against TPD would give them ample time to sort it out though. TPD will try to become the first team to score 120 against them, a point total they have reach in each of their first three games.

This is a classic battle between the two unquestioned titans of the league to date. Anytime these two square off it is always must see television. Here we go again, 2020 style.

3. The Glorious Morgans (2-1) vs La Flama Blanca (1-2)

The Morgans exploded last week scoring 178 points. Their match-ups were amazing and the squad took advantage. Josh Allen has been playing at an MVP level so far this year, while Alvin Kamara and Ekeler are back to their ppr ways. If not for their poor WR group, this team would be scaring everyone in the league. They attempted to fix that this week, spending major cash on WRs from waivers this week. This team will likely be in dog fights all season long, but they have as good a shot as anyone to compete for the playoffs in 2020.

LFB has scored the fewest points in the league by a significant margin. They are scrambling to find a way to score. Luckily they captured an early fortunate win, because a win here would keep them afloat at (2-2). They need to improve at QB and TE, as well as finding consistency from their WRs. All is not lost, but the weary sentiment from last week remains.

4. GrabbingThemTDs (1-2) vs The Coop's Return (1-2)

TDs is similar to TPD in that they are likely better than their record indicates. They have run into a few buzzsaws to start this season. Their WR group continues to suffer injuries, and their RB depth leaves a lot to be desired, but if they can stay healthy they will compete. TDs seems to make the same mistakes each season, trusting their guys too long and ignoring roster construction warning signs, and then it gets too late to improve. They have just 2 moves entering week 4. We'll see if they can change it up this year and take bigger risks.

Coop achieved their first MFFL victory last week. It is a special moment, and one they hope to experience again many more times. Russell Wilson is playing at a God level and Thomas should be back this week. The RBs are super hard to predict week to week though, and the lineup will have to improve in preparation for Wilson's eventual cooling. Coop's activity and determination has been well received across the league to start this season. It is a franchise with a lot of promise, perhaps even surprising some teams this season, obtaining some big wins along the way.

5. Baker's Chubbin' (1-2) vs Unstopa-Bo (1-2)

Both of these teams would look a lot different if their studs were studding. McCaffrey remains out while Lamar has looked human all year for UB. In order for either team to compete long term, they need those guys to become who they drafted. This is a big game for both teams, as neither team may have the depth or firepower to come back from a potential (1-3) start, unlike other teams who currently sit in the same situation.

Match-Up Build-Up Week 3

1. The Perpetual Dynasty (1-1) vs The Glorious Morgans (1-1)

TPD fumbled away a victory last week. They started Daniel Jones over Cam Newton, and the results were horrifying. TPD has been known previously for making crazy moves that pay off in big ways, but this was not one of them. They should be (2-0) and had they started Newton they would have the most points in the league after two weeks. Still, they currently sit 2nd in total points and all is not lost. This team will get it together. Their mid week acquisition James Robinson played big, which means they may have solidified their #2 RB spot at least for a little while. They will have to get over the heartbreak quickly before a massive match-up against the Morgans.

The Morgans Exploded last week for a crucial early season victory. Alvin Kamara and Josh Allen led the way, but the rest of the lineup has yet to reach its full potential, averaging only 13 points per player on Sunday outside of the previously mentioned. Their RB match-ups this week look favorable, this team will live and die by their RBs.

This is a classic clash in the East division. These two teams have been fighting for the Eastern crown every year since the league's inception. Look for a super close affair. This is a huge game.

2. GrabbingThemTDs (1-1) vs Imposing Monstrosity (2-0)

TDs beasted last week to the tune of 178 points, and all of that was without Chris Godwin. Calvin Ridley has been a godsend to start the year and the rest fo the lineup is playing well. They have the most points in the league entering week 2. This is the best TDs team we have seen in a number of years. Their biggest issue is RB depth, which they have none of. A win this week over Stros may make TDs the early season top dog to start this year.

Stros has picked up right where they left off last season. They are (2-0) and many of their young draft picks are making waves. Their draft strategy was executed to perfection. They are simply operating at an extremely high level ever since last season's draft. They are the top dog right now, and TDs will be gunning for them. The target will be squarely on Stros' back this whole season, so far they have answered the bell. It's been an impressive run, with more success likely on the way.

3. The Real McCoy (1-1) vs Unstopa-Bo (1-1)

McCoy once again beat Loco last week, a team they have annually owned. Kyler Murray and Nick Chubb were the stars, but they lost a lot due to injury. Barkley and Sutton are now both out for the year. Devastating. Their already weak depth will be taxed beyond belief. The fact that their WRs have yet to play to the standards set last season is a major concern. McCoy has the 2nd fewest points scored after two weeks. They will have to manage the crap out of this team this year, but they are one of the franchise's that are capable of doing so.

UB played well again last week, but lost a close one to Stros. UB shouldn't worry though as the team continues to perform, and has depth to spare. On paper, this may be the most complete team in the league. They are set up for a great season, and a win over their divisional foe this week would cement such sentiment.

4. Baker's Chubbin' (1-1) vs El Pollo Loco (1-1)

Baker won last week, and played well, but they benefited greatly from a TPD game day managing blunder. Now they must face the next month without Christian McCaffrey. It happened again. Their 1st overall pick got injured. It is truly staggering the amount of injuries this team has had to deal with on a yearly bases. Obviously this is a completely different team without CMC on the field. They will have to keep their head above water until his return.

Loco predictably disappointed last week against McCoy. It is crazy how poor they play when they match up again them. Their RBs let them down last week, but they continue to make strong free agent pick-ups each week in search of a #2RB. This squad looks similar to other Loco teams of old, a scary high ceiling but a low floor possibility to match. Look for them to bounce back in a big way this week against an undermanned Baker squad.

5. La Flama Blanca (1-1) vs The Coop's Return (0-2)

LFB scored 87 points last week. If not for a fortunate win in week 1 they would be in dire straights. Their pricey free agent acquisitions completely busted and their starting WRs disappeared. If more injuries befall this lineup they may not survive. They may already be in desperation mode after only two weeks, as they have already dropped their starting QB and TE and are low on waiver cash. They need a major change in fortune, fast.

Coop played well last week but came up against a buzzsaw. Their weekly performance was ballooned by two explosions from Jones and Wilson. Injuries and depth concerns have hurt this team in the early going. Still, they will compete if Kittle and Thomas can get back to full health. It is an absolutely necessity for this roster. An (0-3) start would be quite a difficult hole to climb out of.

Match-Up Build-Up Week 2

1. Imposing Monstrosity (1-0) vs Unstopa-Bo (1-0)

Stros played well in their first game in defense of last season's title. The star of the week for them was Aaron Rodgers. They received a massive boost from the M. Mack injury, as Taylor now looks poised to have a huge season. In order to stay consistent, they will need more production out of their top two WRs, but this team will live and die by their stellar RB core. They are set up well for another great season. Their early active to start the year has been very successful, a trend they hope continues for the long haul.

UB stormed out of the gates last week scoring the 2nd most points of the week. Only one player in their lineup didn't score at least 14 points and it was their kicker. So far the risky draft selections are paying off, but many players on this roster still have long term question marks. They have at least 5 players who are either rookies or in their 2nd season in the league. This week will be an indicator of just how good this team can be. If all things click, they will be explosive.

This is a huge West division game. It is the only match-up this week in which both teams won the week before. Both teams were competitors last year and are trying to stake their claim this season. Even though Stros won it all last season, UB stole the division from them in the final week of the regular season. Bad blood will be spilt in this match-up.

2. The Perpetual Dynasty (1-0) vs Baker's Chubbin' (0-1)

TPD exploded in week 1, scoring 167 points. It's the fourth highest point total in week 1 history. Adams and Jacobs led the way, combining for 80 points on Sunday. Their WR core of Adams, Hill, and Lockett looks like it will be a major problem for all matched up against them this year. Their RB2 spot is in flux, but they have quality depth waiting to ascend were there to be injuries ahead of them on the depth chart. Jacobs is the best RB TPD has had to start a season since 2012, making their lineup to start a year one of the best they've had. Pretty terrifying, though of course they will continue to try to improve.

Baker played well last week but lost a nail biter. Not having Golloday due to injury was a major blow. They seem primed for a bounce back this week, as their match-ups on paper look soft. They are also likely catching TPD on a regression week, making their chances of victory higher than the public would give them credit for. Expect a strong performance come Sunday.

3. El Pollo Loco (1-0) vs The Real McCoy (0-1)

Loco scored the 3rd most points in the league last week, securing a victory over the league newcomer Coop. It was an impressive victory, as their two big acquisitions from the Adams trade balled out, Hopkins and DJ. Their #2 RB and flex spots continue to be areas for potential growth, but Mahomes, Hopkins, and Andrews will be stud performers week to week. This is a big game for the Loco franchise. They have always struggled against McCoy. A win this week may finally secure their confidence in going after it all in 2020.

McCoy disappointed in week 1. They scored the 2nd lowest point total of the week and only had three players score more than 12 points for the week. Their QB and starting RBs continue to be the strength of their roster, but their WRs and bench depth underperformed across the board. They may not be as well suited to handle injuries as some other teams in the league. Still, coming off a down week, expect a bounce back performance. Nick Chubb could be a catalyst as he plays on Thursday Night. McCoy is looking for a better game from their 2nd round pick.

4. GrabbingThemTDs (0-1) vs La Flama Blanca (1-0)

TDs played well last week, but lost to a TPD team that exploded. They need Miles Sanders to get healthy. All and all it is a lineup that displays a lack of potential explosiveness, but incredible quality and production. Without as much potential for splash plays, they hope their consistency will win them match-ups this season. Their match-ups this week look very favorable. Look for another good performance.

LFB won last week, but probably should not have. They scored the 3rd lowest point total of the week but somehow came away with a victory. Adam Thielen's touchdown with only a minute left in the game, with the Vikings down 20 points, saved the match-up for them. Conner is already hurt and Gronk looks to have been a reach in this year's draft. Seemingly aware of the potential for disaster, LFB went bonkers on free agency this week, spending half of their entire waiver budget on two RBs Hines and Snell. It is a risky move, and it has to pay off, or they will be hamstrung from getting waiver wire targets the rest of the year. It is a long year and LFB is already scrambling. It's not a good sign, but they have the talent to win games if they can just stay healthy.

5. The Glorious Morgans (0-1) vs The Coop's Return (0-1)

Both teams disappointed last week. Coop lost Thomas for an unknown amount of time, which is just devastating. The Morgans need major improvements from their star RBs, Beckham, and TE. This is honestly a huge early season game, as the defeated in this contest will lose a lot of confidence about their prospects moving forward. Coop will have to hope Wilson continues to explode week to week, while the Morgans need to find a WR outside of JuJu whom they can trust.

Week 2, let's get it on!

Match-Up Build-Up Week 1 2020

MFFL football is back, 2020 style. The league continues on through uncertainty and adversity. Nothing is guaranteed in the MFFL, especially in a season such as this. Managers will have to keep their heads on a swivel and adjust to quick turns in fortune. The team that can handle adversity the best will most likely capture it all. In week 1, all the games are unpredictable and important, let's get it on.

1. The Coop's Return vs El Pollo Loco

Opening the 2020 season in the MFFL will be a new comer with a storied past. Coop's Return makes their triumphant return to fantasy football. They are have an unbelievable opportunity, to play with the big boys right from the jump. They are likely to face a learning curve but this franchise is too smart to be behind the pace for too long. Their first draft in years went well, capturing many big named studs for their starting lineup. Thomas, Wilson, Kupp, Jones, and Kittle form a formidable group, though their bench could be hazardous. They drafted only three RBs, and are currently rostering three TEs. It's an atypical move, but one that may benefit them were the pandemic to strike the NFL. A win in week 1 would be an unbelievable catalyst for success in what is expected to be a learning year for this blue blood manager. Back in the saddle again, oh how good it feels.

Loco is coming off their best finish in franchise history. Last year's runner up has shown steady improvement over the last four seasons, and they now find themselves in the top echelon of the league in terms of credibility. They made a massive trade the night of the draft, sending Adams packing for a haul that included Nuk and a bevy of RBs needed for depth. It is a good thing too, because their RB situation has only worsened since draft night, making the trade a wise and necessary move. Patrick Mahomes leads a group of accomplished stud WRs. The only question mark being their starting RB situation. This team has shown the ability to improve as the season progresses, as they are one of the more active managers in the league, so expect another year of battling from this stinky burrito franchise.

The match-up on paper is super close, as these two seem to be mirror images of each other. welcome back Coop, Loco hopes to make your first match-up full of pain. It's on.

2. Imposing Monstrosity vs Baker's Chubbin'

Stros captured the gold last year winning their first MFFL championship. It was a special season, led by Christian McCaffrey. McCaffrey has been a member of each of the last 3 championship teams in the MFFL, but now Stros must face him in week one. Stros went all in on players who have yet to reach their full potential, which is always a good idea, but it leaves the roster looking slight on firepower to start the season. Stros doesn't care, as they will trust their research and trust their guys. If their young players hit, they will be a tough out all season long. Stros is attempting to do what only one franchise has done before, go back to back in the MFFL. That other franchise was TPD, who 3peated.

Baker has faced futility in the MFFL for many years. Their 1st round pick seems to always get hurt, but this year they are hoping McCaffrey can right the ship. No player helps a struggling franchise more than him. Their lineup looks good to start the year, but that is typical for anyone drafting 1st overall. The test will be how they handle the inevitable unlucky attack against their roster throughout the season.

2. The Glorious Morgans vs Unstopa-Bo

The Morgans are looking for a bounce back season. Before last year, they were on a ridiculous run, going 11-3 in 2017 and 2018. They went all in on RBs in the draft, securing probably the best value pick, Joe Mixon in the 3rd round. They are also going all in on the Buffalo Bills this year, with Allen, Diggs, Singletary, and Moss all members of their team. They sacrificed some depth to acquire JuJu from TPD, but the starting lineup is locked and loaded as long as their RBs stay healthy, and Juju and Beckham have bounce back years. It's never wise to doubt this franchise, especially coming off a down season. Look for a quick rebound.

After back to back (5-9) seasons, UB rebounded a year ago, winning the West division and a 3rd place finish. Perhaps the most unpredictable franchise in the league, they also frequently display the most unpredictable drafts. They selected Kelce in the 1st and Lamar in the 2nd, undoubtedly the most shocking moves of the entire draft. They are going all in on the Ravens. Their RBs are a veteran group but carry major question marks. UB has been knocking at the door for a championship, but has yet to capture it. This may be their year if their crazy strategy pays off.

2. La Flama Blanca vs The Real McCoy

LFB has yet to regain the magic of their early days success in the MFFL, though last year they did rebound a little finishing 2nd in the East division. It was a disappointing year overall though, as they had Lamar Jackson in his MVP season and only finished with a (.500) record. This year they drafted one of the oldest teams of all time, as their starting lineup is riddled with guys whose best days may very well be behind them. They also have the most injury prone RB core in the league. Major risks abound, but the talent is undeniable. If this team can make it through the season unscathed, they will be contenders.

McCoy had one of their worst season's in the MFFL a year ago finishing at (5-9), but it does little to tarnish their rich history. True to their themes, they drafted a fantasy expert's dream of a team, acquiring many guys with unquestioned hype entering the season. They are going all in on Kyler Murray, and they boast one of the best RB cores in the league entering the season. The WRs are solid, but lack fire power. Overall it has the looks of a classic McCoy team with lots of solid talent and depth. A return to battling for the West division crown is fully expected.

2. The Perpetual Dynasty vs GrabbingthemTDs

TPD finally didn't win a championship last year after three straight in 16',17', and 18'. It was inevitable, but they once again proved they are tops in the league, finishing (12-2) with stellar gameday managing throughout the season, with a lineup that at times lacked explosiveness. They are wheeling and dealing once again to start this season, and they of course have a bevy of elite WRs led by Hill and Adams. But surprising many this year was how many RBs they took in the draft. Their RBs are the best they have had to start a season in a very long time, led by Jacobs. TPD will likely do their thing once again, though nothing is certain. Perhaps no team is better at handling the uncertainty and frequent roster moves during a pandemic than them.

TDs battled last year to a (7-7) record. Had they displayed slightly better gameday managing and luck, they could have been a playoff team. After the 2020 draft they have one of the better starting lineups in the league, but it is not without flaws. They stacked Prescott and Zeke together, and Sanders and Ertz, which is interesting to say the least. Everyone in that lineup can ball though. It's a potent group. TDs has the feel of a franchise that is destined to break through soon. A win against TPD in week one would set that stage early.

Week 1 is here! Lets Go! Come On! AAAAHHHH!
